Pastor’s Email Message for the Week Ending March 18

The Lenten Season is heading toward its conclusion.  Worship and other gatherings help us to prepare for Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection.

Palisades Cluster Midweek Lenten Series is scheduled this week at St. Luke’s Ferndale.  It was canceled last week because of the weather, but St. Luke’s will be hosting us this Thursday, March 15.  We will not be going to Christ, Springtown this year.  The final session in our series will be at St. Peter’s in Riegelsville on March 22.  Come join us for a light supper at 6:30 PM, followed by DVD/discussion/devotions.

Supplies for the Easter Egg Hunt (March 24) – Lynn Gaun and Cheryl Mesko say they have plenty of candy to fill the plastic eggs.  What is still needed is items for prizes – stuffed animals, games, books, etc., which can all be found at the Dollar Store.  Please bring your contributions to church no later than this coming Sunday, March 18.  There is a large basket in the narthex for Easter Egg Hunt donations.  Thank you!

Reservations for Easter Breakfast – If you plan to attend the Easter Breakfast, which follows the Easter Sunrise Service on April 1, please RSVP to Lynn Gaun at 610-749-0217.

Easter Hymning –  This year’s Easter Hymning to the homebound is being postponed from Palm Sunday (March 25), until the Sunday after Easter – April 8.  Please join us!  Any questions, check with Helen Dungan.
