Pastor’s Message — May 18, 2014

Coming this Sunday, May 18 – – –  Care-A-Lot Sunday! At 9:00 AM, the children of our Spark Sunday School will celebrate the past year with outdoor games (weather permitting), followed by a presentation of awards.  This will be our final Spark Sunday for the Spring.  Spark Sunday School will resume in September for children and youth between the ages of 3 and 13.

At 10:30 AM we celebrate the wonderful ministry of our Care-A-Lot Preschool.  Children, teachers, and families will join us at worship for a very “un-traditional” worship experience.  The service targets children for the Good News of our risen Lord.  Refreshments and fellowship will follow worship.

Care-A-Lot Preschool is now taking registrations for the Fall.  Call the Church Office (610-346-8500) and leave a message if interested.

Announcing a new Small Group for Adults:  “Connecting Sunday Scripture With Our Monday through Saturday Lives.”  This group will meet with the pastor beginning Thursday, May 22 at 7:00 PM or Sunday, May 25 at 9:00 AM.  This is not a lecture or Bible Study, but a chance to dialog with each other about the Living Word of God.  All adults are invited!

Ascension Day – Thursday, May 29 – ELC of Durham will join with other churches in the area in celebrating the Feast of Christ’s Ascension at 7:30 PM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Riegelsville.
