Pastor’s Weekly E-Mail Message September 7, 2014

A BUSY Week at Evangelical Lutheran

On Sunday, September 7, Outdoor Worship begins at 9:30 AM, and will be followed by a picnic beginning around 10:30 AM.  The Outdoor Worship is informal – wear casual clothes and bring a comfortable lawn chair if you’d like.  For the Picnic, the Church Council is providing hotdogs, hamburgers, and beverages, so please bring a picnic side dish to share.

For the ELCA “God’s Work Our Hands” National Day of Service, we’ll be traveling to St. Andrew’s in Perkasie to help pack meals for “Stop Hunger Now.” 15 congregations from the Upper Bucks Conference will gather to pack 30,000 meals. Volunteers traveling to St. Andrew’s for “Stop Hunger Now” will be driving down to arrive at about 1:30 PM.  Our congregation has been assigned to the “Clean-Up Team,” so if you have a good vacuum you’re willing to share (to remove rice from the carpeted venue floor), please bring it on Sunday.

Next Sunday, September 14,  the Fall Worship Schedule begins!!! Spark Sunday School will begin at 9:00 AM.  Holy Cross Day Worship will begin at 10:30 AM.
