It’s not easy being a shepherd! What with weather and other dangers all around (like wolves and lions), and worst of all, wandering and rebellious sheep. On Sunday, April 26, we’ll be greeted with words about sheep, shepherds, and most importantly, the “Good Shepherd.”
The fact is, you and I are all like sheep – vulnerable, wandering, rebellious. We are God’s sheep. And God has given us a “Good Shepherd.” Jesus, the Good Shepherd, has done the difficult work exercising patience, compassion, and forgiveness. The Good Shepherd lays it all on the line, including his life.
Is there anything we can learn from the Good Shepherd that would guide our relationships with each other? Come to worship at 10:30 AM on Sunday and see!
When you come to Christian Education, Sunday School, Confirmation Class, and/or Worship on Sunday, please dress warmly, in long sleeves with a sweater or jacket. The process of installing and inspecting our new heating system is taking longer than expected. Weather forecasts for the next several days call for temperatures below normal. So, come ready, just in case. Our fellowship, warmth of spirit, and especially the warm of the Holy Spirit will all be there.
