A Fall Filled with Faith, Fellowship, and Food Relief!

Harvest Home  is this coming Sunday, September 20.  Please bring canned goods and other non-perishables to our 10:30 AM Worship Service.  You may also make a $$$ offering to our local food pantries.  Make your check payable to “Evangelical Lutheran Church of Durham,” with “Harvest Home” in the memo line.

Cluster Youth Fun-Food-Fellowship on Sunday evening, September 20th from 6-8 PM at Trinity Lutheran on Route 212 in Pleasant Valley.  There will be pizza, ice cream, and icebreakers.  All youth in Middle School and High School are invited.  And bring a friend!

Announcing … “Blessing of the Pets” on Sunday, October 4 at 10:30 worship.  This is the special day of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals. Don’t bring your actual pets, but there will be an opportunity to call out their names during our prayers – dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, fish, etc.

The Third Annual Crop Walk – “Fighting Hunger One Step at a Time” will be held on Sunday, October 18, beginning at St. Peter’s in Riegelsville.  The trail proceeds south down the Delaware River Canal for either 1 mile or 4 miles.  Registration begins on the St. Peter’s Church lawn at 12:30 and the walk begins at 1:00 PM.  There will be water and snacks available to take along, and all walkers should be finished by about 3 PM.  Get your pledge forms on Sunday from the table in the Narthex.  If you can’t walk, you can pledge to a walker, bring in snacks (bottled water, nutrition bars, other healthy snacks) or help with registration before the walk begins.  Let me know if you have any questions.
