Pastor’s Weekly Message- October 23, 2016

  • To all who made generous gifts of food and $$$ to the food pantries through our Harvest Home ministry.
  • To those who baked for the Community Dinner – Plentiful and sumptuous goodies were available on October 16 at the Riegelsville Firehouse.
  • To those who have generously given to ‘the Lutheran Charities Appeal.” The appeal will continue until the end of October.  You can give by using the “Good Neighbor” envelop for October in  your envelope packet.

FUN !   FUN!    FUN !

Coming on Saturday, October 29 is “Trunk or Treat” at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pleasant Valley from 5:30-7:30 PM.  There will be a movie, hayride, games, and lots of goodies.  Come to the parking lot of the church, right off Route 212.

Here’s a deep question for you this week:  Do you trust in yourself mainly, or rely on God?  This is the subject of our worship on October 23, when Jesus shares with us the Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector.  Come and explore this parable with us at 10:30 on Sunday morning!
